For college partners

Build a pathway from cadet to college

For California Community College occupational deans, CTE directors, dual enrollment coordinators, and regional consortia leads.

Why partner with CACC

This guide connects CACC units with nearby community college pathways in public safety, emergency response, health sciences, skilled trades, aviation, cybersecurity, logistics, and university transfer. It is intended to help college leaders identify high school partners, start dual enrollment conversations, explore credit for prior learning, and build clear pathways from cadet leadership training into certificates, degrees, and careers.

This directory is designed to support alignment between California Cadet Corps (CACC) high school units and nearby California Community College (CCC) Career Technical Education (CTE) programs, public safety academies, and transfer pathways. CACC programs provide structured, goal-oriented student cohorts that may support workforce pipeline development when paired with verified college programs and local partnership agreements.

Action plan for colleges

  1. Identify Local CACC Units

Cross-reference the directory tables with your college's service territory to identify existing battalions and cadet leadership instructors.

  2. Execute CCAP Dual Enrollment Agreements

Establish College and Career Access Pathways (AB 288) memorandums of understanding to deliver entry-level criminal justice, emergency responder, or college success classes at high school sites.

  3. Adopt Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) Crosswalks

Partner with Academic Senate CTE liaisons under Title 5 § 55050 to evaluate CACC 4-year leadership coursework for military science, physical education, and public safety credit.

  4. Host Cadet Discovery Days

Coordinate campus tours connecting high school cadets directly with public safety training facilities, CTE lab spaces, financial aid counselors, and California College Promise coordinators.
